On June 29th members of St David's Society Japan gathered at the FooTNiK pub in Osaki to watch some of the matches of the Asia/Oceania wheelchair rugby championship. We watched New Zealand v Korea then Australia v Japan (unfortunately Wales weren't participating) and saw Japan defeat the world champions Australia!
We experienced the simple joy of a friendly gathering in a pub and professional English commentary of the matches given by Alex Hatton, son of our members Noriko and Gordon Hatton.
We thank Anna and all the staff at the FooTNiK for helping organise the event, their attentive service and the lovely food and drink.
