On April 2nd, the St David's Society of Japan were honoured to host an event at the Craic pub in Akasaka during Welsh Folk Singer and S4C TV presenter Meinir Gwilym's visit to Japan with her team.
We were treated to a special concert with Meinir showcasing many of her hauntingly beautiful compositions, sung with a feeling that all of our members felt, whether they were Welsh speakers or not. She was supported by Paul Williams, our Society Minstrel. It was a truly memorable time rounded off with the communal singing of Welsh favourites and the anthem to complete the night.
